Green Bean Casserole: It is a casserole dish which consists of green beans, french fried onions, and cream of mushroom soup. The casserole is very popular as a side dish for Thanksgiving dinners in North America which is created by Campbell’s on 1955.
History of Green Bean Casserole
The main inspiration for the dish was to create an easy and quick recipe around two things most Americans always had on hand in the 1950s: Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup and green beans
This recipe can be completely made from scratch. It begins with homemade crispy ovens that are coated in a crumb mixture and seasoned flour and finally baked until crispy. The beans are cooked just until crispy, tender and lastly, the traditional mushroom soup is added. To keep them from clumping together it’s important to toss the onions continuously during their baking time which will prevent them from crisping up.
